Our story

How Sogitex started in the industry

Sogitex was founded in 1985. Initially a local company in the housekeeping field, Sogitex has continued to grow ever since.

In 1994, Sogitex welcomed new shareholders into the family and diversified its services by forming Distribution Sogitex, which sells products, accessories and equipment in the field of hygiene and cleanliness, as well as Sogitex Services, which works in cleaning. In 1997, Distribution Sogitex created a technical service department to install, maintain and repair equipment in the fields of cleaning, laundry and catering. Ultimately, in 2009, Équipement Rivard, a specialist in the sale of equipment and accessories for the restaurant and hotel industries, joined the family.

Today, Sogitex is a large family of more than 250 employees and covers the regions of Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Northeastern Ontario, James Bay, Nunavik and Nunavut.
